The Mechanical Engineering department was established in the year 2005 to provide quality education to the students in the area of Mechanical Engineering and to cater the needs of industry. Department haswell developed infrastructure for diploma program in Mechanical Engineering. The department has excellent laboratory facilities and workshops, well qualified and experienced staff in all the interdisciplinary areas of mechanical engineering. We create a conducive environment for teaching – learning process and our faculty members always strive hard for academic excellence and overall personality development of students.

The department is offering consultancy by using CAD/CAM software such as Pro/Engineer, MASTERCAM. Department also conducts training programme for industry person and academicians.

Mechanical engineers have an important role to play in practically every industry; be it automotive, aerospace, chemical, process or electronics. Be it sports, medical or any product development; mechanical engineers contribute to it substantially.

Mechanical engineers deal with thermal and fluid science, material science, design, manufacturing and maintenance of products, systems and processes over entire product life cycle. In todays’ world, role of mechanical engineer has expanded from conventional design and manufacturing job to offering solutions to complex interdisciplinary problems.

Mechanical engineers have to form and lead professional teams across the globe to achieve this. We at Atmiya strive to imbibe in our students the skills needed in these stupendous tasks.

Department of Mechanical Engineering is a flagship department of Atmiya Diploma college right from its inception in 1983. With highly experienced faculty and state- of-the-art laboratories, we impart fundamental knowledge as well as core skills in the areas of mechanical, thermal and electromechanical systems. The department also provides ample opportunities to experience the excitement of national technical events.

We encourage undergraduate students to participate in these research efforts through mini projects. Diploma stakeholders from our department are employed in premier Mechanical Engineering industries and a good number pursues higher studies in renowned universities abroad as well as IITs and NITs in India.
